Mini Interview |
|
| My first homebrew... | See brewing accomplishments. |
| Homebrewing Story... | Brewing a brown ale, I was pouring the LME in while a friend stirred, and I dropped the plastic bucket into the kettle. We fished it out promptly, yet the final result had a strange phenolic/plastic taste to it. Lesson learned, bottles dumped. The name of my "brewery" is now 'Hot Pail Brewery'. (I couldn't shake that experience from the minds of my cohorts.) |
| 3 favorite beers | Orval, Blue Moon, and an unknown brand hefeweizen I had in southern Bavaria... |
| Why I homebrew... | I love to cook, and the process of homebrewing/fermenting has always captured my interest. I also love to experiment with tastes, and the possibilities are endless. |
| Brewing Accomplishments | My first batch was a bastardization of a hefeweizen/american wheat, the kit made up at the LHBS. I had no idea of the huge amount of variables involved. In retrospect, that batch was extremely good for a first attempt - especially knowing what I know now. I found the last bottle of that batch some months and several batches later, and it was wonderful. |
