Mini Interview |
|
| My first homebrew... | Irish Red Ale - Took a clone recipe, doubled-it (10G Batch,) then added an additional 4 lbs of LDME, and an additional 1.5 oz of Hallertauer. I used White Labs Irish Ale Yeast. OG was at 1.091!!! Fermented for 6 days, then racked to Secondary. Let clear in Secondary for 10 days, then took FG reading... It was 1.020. Was extremely happy with 9.25% alcohol content. Friends loved it, and I really could not get enough. |
| Homebrewing Story... | Pitched two vials of yeast into two different containers at the same time. By the time I realized what I did, I had no clue which 1 g jug had which yeast. $6.95/vial wasted... I guess it could have been worse. I could have pitched an English Ale yeast into a batch of Hefeweizen!! |
| 3 favorite beers | Stone Ruination IPA, Stone Arrogant Bastard, Troegs Nugget Nectar, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Bell Two Heared, Big Sky IPA, Troegs HopBack Amber, Green Flash IPA, Rogue Dead Guy Ale |
| Why I homebrew... | Because it is a great hobby that brings friends together. Its also economical, and I get to try different things! Its like a new science experiment each and every brew! |
| Brewing Accomplishments | The fact that I can brew my own beer is its own accomplishment, and its own reward. |
