| My first homebrew... | A kit-porter-prehopped extract |
| Homebrewing Story... | I decided to brew a while touring Rouge Brewery in Newport Oregon with the wife and another couple. Jerry liked beer as well and I commented that I wished our whole house smelled like that brewery. The wife overheard but didn't remark. I bought a kit and proceeded to brew in the kitchen,once. Now me and that wonderfull smell are outside.As far as funny brewing incidents,if you can make a mistake I have done it and still do. I make a mess and have a disoprganized bunch of fun. However when it comes to sanitation I am dead serious,you can't fix those mistakes. I have never had an infected batch. yet |

| Why I homebrew... | When I started it was to save money but I have spent more on equipment than I would have beer.(I don't drink a lot) Now I brew because it is so much fun and I like the challenge,especially of doing it cheap and easy. |
| Brewing Accomplishments | A freind gave me a kit that was 2 years old. I threw away the old yeast and hops. Brewed it and entered it in competition. I got 37 0f 50 points. True it started as a kit but ended up my own recipe.I discarded the honey as well. |
