| My first homebrew... | Mad Chemist...I had heard stories about Blue Ribon hopped Malt extract and 5 lbs of sugar in a cooler. Couldn't find the blue ribbon (don't think it's made any more) so I used a can of Muntons dark, half a bottle of Alaga syrup, and 4 cups of dextrose......after 2 weeks of fermenting I realized it didn't have hops in it. so I did a cold hopping at the end. it came out as a lemony edged golden ale.....I was surprised that it was drinkable. Friends gave it about an 80% approval rating. I am hooked. |

| Brewing Accomplishments | Spiced Porter. People ask me to make it....even when it isn't the right season for it. I was asked to make the beer for the Super Bowl Party :). Nobody has gotten sick from drinking my beer yet. |
