Mini Interview |
|
| My first homebrew... | I made a clone of McMenamins Hammerhead. The next batch, I doubled the recipe... |
| Homebrewing Story... | The first time I made my Russian Imperial Stout I used a fermentation lock. It plugged while I was at work and blew the blackest wort all over the ceiling in the kitchen, and flowed krausen all over the floor. I put a blow off tube in the carboy and instantly had a rapid glug, glug, assuring me of the improbability of oxygen or contamination entering. The ceiling was never the same, and the beer turned out great. That same recipe was a Blue Ribbon winner last year at the Oregon State Fair. |
| 3 favorite beers | Imperial Pale Ale, Barley Wine, Russian Imperial Stout. |
| Why I homebrew... | It's a fun and wholesome activity for the whole family, with awesome rewards. I try to perfect my own personal favorite recipe. |
| Brewing Accomplishments | Blue Ribbon at the 2004 Oregon State Fair for my Hunchback Mountain Imperial Stout. This is the only competition I have ever entered. |
