Mini Interview |
|
| My first homebrew... | My first homebrew was a Brewferm Christmas Ale kit. It was just okay, but very light and not what I was expecting. |
| Homebrewing Story... | I made a Bell's Two Hearted clone using some 1056 yeast. I put 5.5 gallons of wort into the primary, which was an Ale Pail. Two days later the top had blown off of the pail and krausen was going everywhere. I was a little worried about contamination, but it turned out fantastic. |
| 3 favorite beers | Three Floyd's Alpha King Lafayette Brewing Company Black Angus Oatmeal Stout Ommegang Hennepin |
| Why I homebrew... | The camaraderie. I started out because I like doing things myself (roasting coffee, making bread, brewing...), but the brewing community has been a fortunate accompaniment to the hobby. I love going to the LHBS and talking shop or getting together with my brewing partners and cracking open a few while we make our next batch. |
| Brewing Accomplishments | I brewed 3 different clone beers (5 gallons each) in one week. Not very impressive to most of you, I'm sure, but it was a great accomplishment for me at the time. |
