Mini Interview |
|
| My first homebrew... | Stout kit -- prehopped LME, stale dry yeast packet. Still turned out better than store-bought. I was hooked. |
| Homebrewing Story... | A buddy and I decided to brew 4 five gallon batches and fry a turkey on the same day using 5 turkey fryers in his driveway. We planned each batch start time, hop additions etc to the minute so it would be one smooth action. However, each fryer had different BTU output and a third party there to help disappeared right when we needed him so nothing went as planned and everything descended into chaos. We had a few issues. Bottom line -- one very good Irish stout, one pretty good kolsch, a short-of-decent light amber ale and an unpleasant spiced winter ale. Turkey was awesome and it turned into a fun block party so what is there to complain about? |
| 3 favorite beers | Bell's Hopslam Bass Ale DFH 60 minute IPA |
| Why I homebrew... | The same two reasons I do real BBQ. 1) It's an art form you consume and 2) it's a big playground of ideas |
