Mini Interview |
|
| My first homebrew... | Blue Ribbon malt extract, dry yeast, corn sugar and cascade hops. Stumbled onto them in a pharmacy in Chico & said "What's that? You mean you can make beer? Cool!!!" It tasted like Dos Equis, which at the time was a premium beer to me (growing up in Chico, I'd grown tired of BMC beers by the age of 15 or so). I've been hooked ever since. |
| Homebrewing Story... | My father and I put 10 gallons of hot wort into a plastic garbage can (back before food grade containers were readily available) and it started splitting open. Fortunately we had another container nearby and we immediately hoisted it into the other container before it all gushed out onto the floor and covered us with hot sticky wort. Close call for sure. |
| 3 favorite beers | Pilsner Urquell Deschutes Cinder Cone Ale Guinness Stout |
| Why I homebrew... | I love the creative aspect of it, which is why I prefer all grain brewing. There's just nothing much better than sitting down with your latest creation and saying to yourself "Damn, I did THIS?!!?" |
| Brewing Accomplishments | I have never had a batch go bad on me, although some batches have been better than others. |
