Mini Interview |
|
| My first homebrew... | I tried to clone Southern Tier's Big Red because it was delicious and the ingredients are listed on the side of all Southern Tier bottles (sadly no quantities). So plugged some quantities into my beersmith until I got the IBU's and OG on the bottle and BAM there's my recipe. It was an extract with specialty grain and I had the BIGGEST boil over ever. My friend had a pic of it on his phone I have to see it he still has it. All in all the beer turned out nothing like Big Red but was still enjoyable. |
| Homebrewing Story... | Seems like more often then not I would forget to make the priming solution to the bucket until after the transfer was done. I mashed in one time with out my hosebraid in the cooler. So I had to tip the cooler and put my had in a large plastic bag with a glove on and reach and attach the braid. I had to vorlouf alot. |

| Why I homebrew... | I love craft beer. Creating my own recipes is alot of fun, and then having tasting with fellow homebrewers. |
| Brewing Accomplishments | I am now helping to teach homebrew classes at Mighigan Brewing Co. and I LOVE it. Nothing like getting more people hooked. |
