Description
The best parts of a RYE IPA and a BLACK IPA
Submitted by Baggins on 03-Mar-2012

Recipe Details
Tasting Notes I didn't want to make an IPA that was just overwhelming in Hops. I wanted flavor to be the driving force behind this. I couldn't decide between a Black IPA or Rye IPA, so I combined the best parts of both. I popped one open after 4 weeks and again at 7 weeks. The Rye is the stronger of flavors at 4 weeks, but after 7 weeks the balance between Black/ Rye ingredients are worth the wait.
Awards My beer snob friends who do not home brew keep asking for more of this batch. Taking to Home Beer Club meeting this Month. Will see how fellow homebrewers receive it.
