Description
American IPA that utilizes home grown cascade hops at 30 and 15 min. So, IBU may be off some. If you like the aroma and flavor hops, try this one. I used unopened bags for the dry hop additions.

Recipe Details
Tasting Notes Tapped on Christmas Day. A real crowd pleaser. Dry, piney, citrusy.
Awards Have not entered (this one) in any competition, but an award winner in my book.
Boil Volume 7.00 gallons
Boil Time 60 minutes
Batch Size 6.00 gallons
Yeast WLP 001 (77% app. attenuation)
Primary Fermentation 65-67 degF, 14 Days, Glass
Secondary Fermentation Dry Hop in c02 purged keg
Other Fermentation Condition in serving keg 1 week.
Procedure Mash at 152 degF for 60 min. Batch sparge 170 degF water for 15 min. 7 gal boil down to 6 gal- 60-75 min, whirlpool and chill, 5.5 into fermenter, 5.0 gal into keg. O2 for 75 seconds.1.2L starter. Pitch at 65 degF. Rise to 67 until fermentation complete- about two weeks total. DH in keg at room temp for another week. Push to serving keg and carb.
