Recipe Details
Tasting Notes Cherry nose. Nice cherry red color. Pinkish longstanding head.
Awards Never entered, gone too fast.
Boil Volume 6.00 gallons
Boil Time 60 minutes
Batch Size 5.00 gallons
Yeast WL001 (75% app. attenuation)
Primary Fermentation Glass 7 days
Secondary Fermentation Glass 14 days in 6.5 gallon
Other Fermentation 1 Month in Glass 5 gallon Refergerated if possible
Procedure Mash grains at 154 degrees untill conversion is complete. 1 pound of lactose dissolved in 1 qt boiling water, added into the boil in the last 15 minutes of boil. Cherry puree added into secondary. Cherry flavoring added at kegging to taste. Plan to try Sanitum Hops at same rate. Going to try WL002 in one batch and WL001 in the other. Going to add lactose in Third fermentor insted of boil. Black cherry flavor in one. Cherry flavor in the other.
