Basic blonde ale with the fresh flavor of North Idaho huckleberries.

Recipe Details
Tasting Notes Great tasting, quickly maturing. Huckleberry flavor is faint. Next time I will consider adding huckleberries at end end of secondary or adding more huckleberries. Note: Removing huckleberry puree is difficult. I had some huckachunkies in the bottles.

Procedure Steep crystal at 135*F for 20 minutes. Raise to 160*F and let rest for 30 minutes. Remove steeping grains and bring to boil. Add extract and add hops pellets according to schedule. Let ferment in primary until airlock activity is very low. Prepare huckleberries by blending with 1/2 cup of water. Heat huckleberries to 180*F(No higher) and let rest for 20 minutes. Add huckleberries in to secondary with beer. Bottle with 3/4 cup priming sugar after 10-14 days. Let condition in bottles for minimum of two weeks.
