Description
My first attempt at a non-kit homebrew. I think it turned out quite tasty.

Recipe Details
Tasting Notes Very smooth and drinkable. The first taste is kind of malty but the hops quickly take over. Very hoppy aroma. Overall not a bad beer. SRM turned out closer to 15-18.

Procedure Steeped 1 lb. of Crystal Malt 20L in two gallons of water for approx. 40 minutes at 165 degrees. Poured the remaining three gallons over the grain bag into the plastic fermenter. Squeezed most of the goodness out of the bag into the fermenter as well. Brought the two gallons to a boil and added the 2 oz. of Glacier hops, 1 oz. of Cluster hops, LME and DME. Boiled for 60 minutes, pitched yeast after cooling to approx. 76 degrees. Fermented for four days in plastic bucket and then racked into glass carboy. Added 1 oz. of Challengers and dry hopped for 8 days. Bottled with 5 oz. of corn sugar and aged for three weeks.
