My first of hopefully many journal enteries. I recently did a mass racking of beers that needed to get into secondary. I racked over my second saison. OG was 1.068 and it got down to 1.015. I did a bitter that started at 1.048 and ended at 1.007. And I racked over my La CHouffe clone that went from 1.074 to 1.007. My first saison is still in secondary but is ready for bottling at any point and I hope to get it done within the next few weeks. I did the second because when I racked the first one over I liked it so much that I had to do it again. The La Chouffe will sit in cold storage for at least a month before I do anything and the bitter will be bottled soon. The hope is to have it ready for the PDX Brewers club comp that is coming up. That basiclly means I need to get off my butt and get things moving. Mark |
