Sorry to hear that Denny. My cat, Spike the Evil Cat of Death, ran away almost a year ago to the day, and I'm still bummed I'll tilt one back for him when I get home.
On the brighter side of life, I tasted that stout I posted a pic of, and it's really darn good |

Ah, I found the journal entry. Here we go.
Brewed a pale ale today (actually, still brewing... going to throw the aroma hops in now! oK, it's chilling, go beer). My main focus at this point is to just make a beer that isn't infected. I've made, well, 0 uninfected batches so far. A few were clean until I hooked them up to the kegerator, which wasn't clean. That ended very badly. To that end, I have my whole apartment on lockdown, I've sanitized everything in sight up to and including the roomate, and I'm thinking positive thoughts.
recipe is simple- 7lbs pale LME, 1/2 lb crystal 20, 1/2 lb cara munich, 1/2 lb victory, 1 oz cascade (bittering), 1oz willamette at 5, 1 oz willamette at finish. Should make a decent pale ale to work from. If it ends up clear, of course. Cheers! |
