Brewed my very first batch yesterday. It was an extract kit (Big River Brown Ale) for simplicity sake. Besides forgetting to mark the 5-gallon level on the carboy (not sure I put enough cold water in it; may have some strong beer) and taking about 3-4 hours to cool the wort, it went okay. Hopefully things will turn out okay. It's definitely fermenting, though- I've got a nice, bubbling airlock. Everything here seems interesting, and I'm definitely hooked! |
