Well a dear old mate died at the beginning of November 2006 (hypothermia, dehydration and kidney failure)and so I had to brew something quickly for His wake. Only used a bargain basement kit which cost 5 quid. As I had no time to do a grain mash. This was as You would expect it to taste CHEAP... But a day or so later I used one of Dave Lines recipes for Zwiets Tatra which I put in the shed for nearly 3 months. This was much better and tasted great down to the last pint. It was batch sparged and I got around 60% extraction so had to use slightly more Golden Syrup. Goldings were used as I had no Saaz or Hallertua and English two row (Marris Otter). Went down a treat and will probably make it again. God Bless You Rob I miss our sessions already.
