Since I liked that beer very much, does anybody know what ther IBU level is? I would like to make my next brew at that same IBU level.

Thanks

OG should be 1.048 IBU's mentioned in most clones say ~ 43
Style guidelines say 35-45
I personally shoot for 37

I do water adjustments to get the water to "Pilsen Water" (7 Ca, 2 Mg, 2 Na, 5 SO4, 5 Cl, 15 HCO3)... I found that using San Antonio Water + Distilled Water at a 50/50 mix with a pinch of Epsom Salts, Baking Soda and Chalk gets me very close.

I personally shoot for 41 IBU of Saaz goodness in my PU tastealike...

yeah, I thought it was in the 40's, too.

What did I do for my PU clone.. Ouch, only 29 IBUs. It definitely could have used some more bitterness

Had someone bring me a PU in a green bottle awhile back and Pee-U! If I've ever doubted the whole "green bottle = easy skunking" I certainly do not now.

ps. I didnt ask him to bring it to me...
