Does lowes have the stuff to fix my kettle? My valve broke in the closed position....good thing!, it is the standard weldless faucet type valve found on most turkey fryers.

Does lowes have what I need to make a weldless fitting?

What specifically is broken? If it is just the ball valve, that is all you will need to replace. Lowe's carries them, but in brass, not in stainless steel which is probably what yours is made of. You could call some hardware stores and see if they have a 1/2 ball valve in stainless, but it will probably be 20-30 dollars.

I have recently gotten into the habit of buying a spare for all the connectors, valves, and such I use for brewing. When ordering online, the additional shipping charge is usually minimal.

+1 to jdm. I usually buy extras of certain things and never throw away replaced (outgrown) items. They come in handy in a pinch or are good for helping out a new brewer.
