Hi All -
did a quick search on crank and stein w/ cordless drills, couldn't see any topics. sooooo - will my makita 9.6V cordless have enough 'ooomph' to power the standard crankandstein 2A mill? i'm guessing i'd have to dial the torque in, but seems like it should have enough power?
thanks, rob

Makita makes good stuff, but 9.6V may be a little weak, IMO. Certainly worth a try.

I used to use a Ryobi cordless. 7.2V if I recall. It did the job but with older batts I had to use 2 fully charged batts. Finally one day just as I was starting to mill grains and pop went the drill. Ten yrs old, old lots of work and lots of grain.
Using a spider coupler and the correct motor, you'll never need to use the drill again...
