Bottled the other day and put the batch in a 70 F thermostat controlled fridge in the garage. If I bring a couple of 6 packs inside where it is closer to 80 will they carbonate noticeable quicker? If so will this affect the flavor or characteristic of the beer noticeably?
It's basically an APA. Hoping to get a few ready for labor day weekend. Usually it takes my beer about two weeks to be carbonated sufficiently.

It will carbonate more quickly.
Flavor depends on the yeast; some people say they get a cidery flavor. I never have though

Using WLP001. I guess it won't hurt to bring a couple six packs in and leave the rest at 70. Thanks!

I've also been known to flip/turn them to rouse the yeast in solution mid first week of conditioning. Knowing this could lead to some cloudiness...
getting a few in a warmer area will help speed it up but I would recommend not making this a regular habit...
Assuming you used the .75-1Oz weighed per gallon, you should be just about fully carbed in 2 weeks. Noticeable carbonation at 1 week (which I use as my carbonation baseline test bottle).

Normally I wouldn't attempt this as I usually let them carb at 68 for 2 weeks. I used 4.3 oz for 5 gallons. I normally notice reasonable carb in one week but full carb closer to two.
I am surprised how much yeast has actually settled out since bottling on Thursday. I might crack one today just for the hell of it. I am really excited about this beer....

if it is under carbonated, just call it a cask ale
