Ive heard of soaking oak chips in bourbon, but what about Rye? i'm going to try this, but have any of you?

I've got to be honest, I have never tried this, but I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't work. Rye is still a whiskey, just made from mashed Rye. I personally really like Jim Beam Rye, so it sounds like a good idea to me. Go for it, and let us know how it goes.
