Looks great Very similar to the one i just finished except i used fuggles and golding hops and a bit more crystal i like the balance of sweetness the crystal gives with the bitterness of hops. Should be very tasty it may need to age a bit to mellow out the bitterness. But looks like a very taste IPA.. Amirillo makes a great flavored hop.

11% crystal is more than I like in an IPA, I'd go heaver on the finish hops and bitter hops, and shoot for a 1.010 no higher than 1.014 final gravity. Love the hops.

My IPA's usually have between 9 and 14%, but yeah, you don't want it finishing too high.

"11% crystal is more than I like in an IPA"

The 11% is probably okay if the mash temp is dropped to 150. Or maybe sub out some of the pale malt for sugar. Say 3% or 4%? Both?

Its definitely personal. My best IPA was 1.086 down to 1.012 with 7.5% table sugar and 12oz of hops.

I just checked the recipe of the last IPA I brewed which, thus far, has turned out well.

88% golden promise
8% crystal
4% piloncillo

Had a stuck mash and the temp averaged 150.

OG 1.086
FG 1.015

12oz of hops? Heh, I only used 6oz of hops in the kettle and 3oz for dry hops.
