i have the A419 controller. i use it with a thermowell and electric carboy wrap/heater. I'm wondering since i have 2 carboy wraps if i would be able to control both wraps with one temp controller? both wraps would be monitored off one thermowell- not ideal but the carboys would be in the same garage, same recipe, same yeast, same batch.

thoughts?

I think the only concern would be how much power both of those heaters pull...

yeah, it is not noted inthe description of the carboy wraps. just says, ideally plug into 110V outlet.

The FermWrap Heater, 2 square feet, 40 watts.

The johnson controller, 120 VAC model, will handle up to 16 amps according to the data sheet. That is more than 1600 watts. Your two heaters are around 80 watts together.

Of course if wiring two heaters to the controller causes a rift in the space time continuum and you or one or all of your love ones are transported to a parallel universe I am not responsible. Like wise if a fire should happen, or you void your warranty for the heaters or controller, again I am not responsible.

the controller dosen't know how many different things are on the load,, all it cares about is the amps
