With the help of my brother-in-law over the last couple of months we've started a new homebrew club. Most of the guys haven't brewed or have limited experience but are highly enthusiastic. I've never built a mashtun based on your specifications before and was hoping you could point me in the right direction for our club's mash tun cooler build day.
On your site you refer to needing a "rubber bung for a minikeg."
Is this what you're talking about?
http://www.midwestsupplies.com/rubber-mini-keg-bung.html?___store=default
Seems to be but don't want to mess it up for everyone.
As an aside, we'll be registering with the AHA as soon as our site is up.
Thanks!

Did your old homebrew club fold?

Nope. I'm still the VP and we're going strong.
The problem is that most folks in my area don't want to drive the 35 min each way (minimum) on Friday evenings to attend meetings with the other club.
So we formed a new one.

That makes sense.
You have meetings on Friday nights? How do the wives feel about that?

As far as I know wives and girlfriends are cool with it.
I will probably cut back my involvement with the club significantly after this year's commitment is over. I really don't want to make the drive either. It's a few miles from MoreBeer (my "local" homebrew store) and I hate driving there (every blue moon) as well.
The club members are all a great bunch of folks. Many of them are quite talented and knowledgeable.
With the new club, members are in the same situation I'm in. Wife, young kids, work, hectic schedules, etc. Our meetings are on Saturday evenings as that currently works out best for everyone. The new club seems to be more "family friendly" if that makes any sense. With the exception of one guy, no one has more than a 10 minute drive.
