scale your amounts to get an OG of 1055-1060(should come out to around 6%abv)

9# 2 row
4# munich (light)
.5#cry60(ish)

cascade hop 7.0
1oz FW
1 60
1.5 15
1 5

1056, i believe that to be the one. us-05 is fermentis its a dry yeast. but i suppose any clean ale yeast will be just fine

I like Casey's grain bill. My new favorite hopping method is a "whirl pool" mimic [meant to imitate the way breweries add late addition hops]. Dump a bunch of hops in at flameout (3-4 oz) and let the hops steep for 10-15 min, then chill. Be sure to drink within the first 8 weeks.

I do that, but I get the temperature down to 180F and let the hops sit there for about a half hour.

Sounds like a great recipe, but darker than the 6-7 SRM you were talking about.

The SRM he was asking for is at the way low end of the scale for an APA. Your recipe idea is much more like a "normal" APA and looks really tasty!
