Brewing a sour brown on Monday and never used this strain before. I do a starter for all my beers but didn't know if this one requires one since it is a lambic blend. Will also be adding the sludge from a bottle of Jolly Pumpkin's Oro de Calabaza and La Roja. My SG should be 1.042. Thanks!!

No need for starter. I racked my red after about a month and then let it go for another 18 months without touching it. You gonna oak it in any way?

No oak, haven't figured out the right quantity on the last batches. I plan on drinking 1/2 the batch young, nice summer quenching, and age the rest.

I really doubt anything with Roselare blend will be drinkable by summer. I think it takes the sour bugs a bit longer to really get working.

Wow! Do I own the last new post ever on TB.
