I don't have one, but I'd say StarSan or Iodophor.

I have to agree, fill it with Star-San, then let it drain....

I pump iodophor through and soak the hose/tube that will come into contact with the wort.

I'd say completely disassemble it and clean it well. Then soak it in StarSan.

I had three batches in a row get infected when I transferred from fermenter to the keg. My auto siphon was the only common denominator, even after sanitizing it. I bought a new one and have had no further problems. I saved the old one for gasoline.

I'd lose one batch with that thing and it would be used for target practice. There are too many ways to go without it.

I fill up my 5 gallon with star san (use RO water to extend the life of starsan) and I soak both ends of the auto siphon in the bucket. I take both parts apart.

I use a plastic wallpaper tray that is long enough for me to lay all of my oversize equipment down in (Auto-siphon, Beer Thief, stir spoons etc.) I let them soak in Iodophor solution for the duration of my brew day and pull them out and put them back them as I need them.

I sanitize in my sink, everything with One-Step.

First I fill my bucket with One-Step. Then I dump bucket into sink.

Then I put all my gear in the sink.

The auto-siphon is disassembled into cane, tube, and little bulb thing. I soak it at an angle, then flip it over after a few minutes.

No problems so far. The sink soaks it in sanitizer just over 1/2 way so flipping it over insures 100% coverage.

I have a 2 or 3 liter plastic graduated cylinder that is about is about 2ft tall that I use to sanitize each piece separately and a 2' piece os SS tubing (which helps deliver the siphon to the bottom of the receiving vesel). The vinyl tubing gets sanitized in a small bucket. All using StarSan.

Then I assemble and using the Autosiphon to pump sanitized from the g-cylinder and back into the cylinder. Just before use, I drain the siphon and hose and then start siphoning. I drain the first cup or so of liquid to minimize the Starsan that remained in the A-siphon.

After use, I rinse and then resanitize before storing. The autosiphon shell and tube sit in the g-cylinder with sanitizer until next use which can sometimes be months apart.

I sanitize all my brewing items in 2-3 gallons of iodphor in a brew bucket. I dip the tubing end and top of the autosiphon in and then connect. I pump iodophor thru the tubing either back into the keg on bottling day or carboy on brew day. I then put the tubing in the iodophor bucket and pump to fill the tubing with solution. I then disconnect the hose and submerge and use a cup to fill the autosiphon. I let it soak at least 10 minutes, usually longer.
