I've never used them before, but I have heard they work ok. I usually just use dry extract, well, that was before I started kegging, which is friekin' awesome.

I've heard of more bottle bombs because of those "Priming Pellet's".

Your better off to just use Malt Extract or Corn Sugar.

Cooper's Carbination Drops - ONE per bottle
Munton's Carb Tabs - 3-5 per bottle

Both work okay, they Munton will leave little white floatees in the beer though, the skin around the tablet I suppose. I have used them both when bottling for competition.

The Muntons look like the original Primetabs which I used to buy a lot of. The 3, 4, or 5 tablet covers a wide range of carbonation levels and the pills are consistent enough to give consistent results.

The Coopers drops suck. Many are broken or stuck together and unless you break them up, it's one drop per bottle. I will never buy those again.

I would use the Primetabs to carbonate competition beers at the three different levels and then sample one of each before entering the beer to pick out the CO2 level that was most appropriate.

I have never used them myself, but if you want consistency I suggest using plain old table sugar. measured by weight, it is the least expensive and the most consistent.
