I just made a quad that isnt dark or chocolatey enough. I was considering mashing .2 lb of special b with the priming sugar water. Does anyone see a problem with this?

I'm a rookie but my understanding is that you have to boil after the mash to fully convert the starch to usable sugars. Somebody correct me if I am wrong and please also explain.

you need to boil at least to sanitize, otherwise you'll be dumping basically a bunch of lactobascillus into your beer. i really don't think this will have the effect you're hoping for though, i would probably just skip it and have a slightly lighter quad...

Give it time. It will taste a lot different in another four months.

You could always brew another batch and blend them
