So after reading a similar link involving the worst sandwich's in America.... I found link to the worst drinks in America... Pay attention to drinks 20 and 14 (hint Sam Adams Lite and Big Foot)

http://eatthis.menshealth.com/slideshow/worst-drinks-america?cm_mmc=Yahoo-_-ETNT-_-10_Worst_Sandwiches-_-Worst_Drinks_Slideshow

For the lazy here is a snippet from the article...

Sam Adams
124 calories
9.7 g carbs

Light beers generally range from 95 to 110 calories, but the Sam Adams Light contains 124. Kind of defeats the purpose of a light beer, especially when you can choose a regular Guinness Draught for just one more calorie. Choose a true light beer: Beck's contains 60 fewer calories than the Sam Adams (that's almost as little as one-half the caloric impact!).

SN Big Foot
Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Ale (12-ounce bottle)

304 calories
32 g carbohydrates
9.6% alcohol

You know a beer is in trouble when it needs to invoke the image of an oversize mythical beast just to describe itself. Perhaps a better name would have been Jabba the Hut Ale. Beer gets most of its calories from the booze itself, and with nearly 10 percent alcohol in each bottle, this brew is likely to create a beer belly nearly as quickly as it creates a buzz.

If you're truly concerned about watching your calories/ weight, then ideally you shouldn't be drinking any beer. And if you must only stick to Guinness (or homemade milds/ dry stouts).

I've got a simple suggestion: Drink black coffee or water all day, then when you want a beer you can have a decent one without violating some imaginary rule. C'mon, Beck's Light, at 3.8% why bother drinking beer at all? I gotta admit I did laugh when I first tried Sam Adam's light - so their light beer is basically a standard American Lager?

Has anyone had a Dog fish head Golden Shower? For some reason that one just doesn't sound good to me.

Thats funny I read in all about beer magazine the results from the great American beer festival in which keystone ice won 1st for specialty lager and steel reserve came in third. I tell you I think anyone on this forum could have won that. I don't even understand what flavor profile a "specialty lager" I bet the judges looked at each other and agreed hmm smells like crap, taste like crap, I guess A person needs some very "special" qualities to drink this garbage. Ah I'm sick of this crappy beer let's just pick one at random

GABF is for commercial brewers. There are a few catergories for the swill like those. BMC has the market cornered on Those styles, but I doubt most craft brewers worry too much or even bother making those styles. And it also doesn't bother me if people prefer BMCs to crafts, it's their palate, not mine.
