I have four that will be going on my almost finished freezer collar. I'll report back to you. Not sure if I sprung for the SS, but they are the newer models.

I'm sure you'll love them. I've never had a forward sealing faucet stick and I'm not one to clean them very often.

There's nothing wrong with pony taps. When I exceed my 4 tap system, I use them.

You should be able to Log In with the box there.
If not I will have to tear it down and use the default them....
Maybe mod the Prosilver and just use that till I can fix the other template.

Shawn, There are a lot of people that have posted on their findings of the Perlick 425 vs the newer 525 faucets. The consensus seems to be the more expensive 425's are the preferred faucets.
The main noted difference is the 5x5 series doesn't have a removable spout. This minimizes the collection points and complexity yet this means you can't order a smaller bore spout.

Right I see what your saying...
What I'm really looking at is the Creamer feature that the 575SS has.
That can be a big plus when your pouring a Bitter.
And the price is really good for a Creamer Tap.

When I had my kegerator in Saudi I swapped out to the forward sealing Perlick taps and loved them. I had sticking issues with the ones I replaced. Well worth the money.

I've got the Perlick creamers and love them. Honestly I don't use the creamer function much, but when I do it sure makes the beer look purty.

Update for everyone here...
I ended up Ordering a 3 Tap Beer Tower from beveragefactpry.com.
Got it for $157 with shipping.
Holding off on the Perlick's for a few months.
Got all of the hardware and Gas Manifold, Disconnects and Lines from the LHBS for $118.00.
The Tower should be here on Wednesday from San Diego.
This is going to be a really nice setup

Zane,
That's where I am at right now.
I've already got about $400 into this.
I could have done it a lot cheaper and not went new on the Tower.
But, I've been wanting to do this for years and tired of waiting...LOL

I'm hearing a lot of nods for the Perlick creamer. That's good because I got SS no name German creamer faucet and I freakin hate it. I use it for low gravity beers and every summer it grows mold in my semi-damp basement. I'll have to sub that one out.
I have ventmatic faucets. I heard they were preferred over Perlick but I don't see much of a difference. Both forward sealing and that's the way to go for a residential brewery.

Right on....
Ventmatics are now about untouchable.
I think Perlick bought them out, Or they were in a suit against each other.
The new Perlick Pearl Faucets seem like they are the Ventmatics but better.
I will get the Perlick's once I get everything straightened out.
Wished I could hear from someone who purchased the Tower I did and see if they were happy with what they got STOCK.

you mean the faucets that come with the tower? They usually suck compared with the Perlick style but they pour beer. If you can't afford the upgrades yet at least having three beers on tap in any fashion beats not having three beers on tap, imo.

David,
I think the Perlick Perls are just about the same on the unsides.
Confirm this... I've has Drafts off from Ventmatic's and there nice.
If the Perlicks are just a piece of that, I will love them.
I can't afford them now, I have to go with the tap's that are on it.
But, They don't look bad either.
The performance will be when I pour a Bitter from it.

They may be similar, but I wonder if the parts are interchangeable. I seem to remember that Ventmatic did something different, but I cold be wrong. I think the only thing that might fail would be an O-ring and I can get those anywhere.

Just poured my first from my new set-up. Damn good pour, and only about 4-5 drips afterwards. I assume thats normal....
One of the shanks leaked between the tube and the barb, so I gotta put a clamp on that end. Off to LHBS to pick up the last two liquid out QD's and I'll be fully operational. Pics posted soon.

Check my album in the New Kegerator thread. I have a chest freezer with 2X4 Cedar Collar. 4 Perlick 525's with holes drilled for two more, probably a creamer for stouts and bitters and one other for sodas.

I converted a freezer into a 'keezer'. Saved a bunch like that, no tower, just shanks going through the wood collar.
But yeah Shawn, the faucets add up quickly. Shank, nut, line, fitting here and there, hose clamp, faucet, handle. I plan on 70 bucks to add one. Have two more to add. I have the manifold and fittings line side but serving side I need the additions. Basically, I have the kegs and gas and manifolds. I need to add two more faucets.
Drip tray will be the final addition but it will come after the faucets.
Then I'm done.
If I can stop buying miniatures for wargaming then maybe I'll finish this project. I guess I may have too many hobbies. haha

You don't have to go with shanks if there already on the tower...
But an extra $90.00 when you just soent damn near $500.00.
Got to still pay for Electricity and Gas in Ohio, Which Dominion cranks up on you the colder it gets...

The hunting trip I had saved and planned on for this month was canceled.
This is both good and bad, as I was able to divert funds toward my final two 425 faucets and a fancy drip tray; which will replace the towelI previously used.
Keezer is complete!
Or will be tomorrow when I assemble all of the parts. Tomorrow is kegging day. Need to keg up 4 batches and assemble the new hardware. All day event for sure.
