I didn't see this elsewhere. Sorry if it's already been posted:
"Wyeast has released 3 new seasonal British ale strains, including 1026 British Cask Ale,
1469 West Yorkshire Ale, and 1768 English Special Bitter. Available from now until late December"
Shawn, you must have wet yourself over that announcement. I think I'll pick up the 1469 and make your bitter. Mike's attempt at it was very very nice.

Very excited about Wyeast offerings this time.
I think I will try all of them.
They finally are doing an all English VSS run.
1469 makes some of the tastiest Bitter.
That's the real yeast there!!!

Shawn I think I tried most of the two brands (White/Wyeast) offerings of English
strains and I think my favorite is Essex Ale from White, what is your favorite(if you have one)
and what do you think of the Essex Ale. I ask you cuz yous seem to know what you are talkin' 'bout. Kinda off topic, sorry.

1469 West Yorkshire is my favorite yeast in an English Bitter.
I'm not wild about the Essex strain.
To tell you the truth I'm not wild on Southern England's beers in general.
They tend to be on the thin side.
Not as well hopped, Also not as flavorful as the Northern beers.

I'm wondering if Black Sheep Brewery uses 1469...their Holy Grale is to die for. So soft and fluffy with delicate malt notes and a perfect hop balance.

Although I'm not much of an English beer drinker, every beer I've tasted made the 1469 was great.

Looks like I'm going English(brewing) again. Any thoughts on the 1026? Figure I might try that
as well since I'll gonna be ordering some yeast.

Like I've been saying...
I think I will buy some of all 3.
I have an English Winter Warmer coming up.
I want one like Samuel Smith's.

>Any thoughts on the 1026?
I've used it and loved it. But it's been a while so I can't be more specific.
1968 has always given me a great ESB
I prefer 1099 to 1098, especially in porters.

Dang, I just got 4 strains in today. If I go and get more yeast I'll never us it. Seem like everytime I see OhiobrewMan I see 1469 and bitter. I want to try it now. My brew friend has been making English style beers, I tried talking him into some new yeast but he really digs wyeast London III. By the way nice brew handle Pooper, Ohiobrewman has a nice ring like AZbrewman.

Azbrewman,
It was your name that I got the idea from
And there isn't another me.
Well if you find that you can't get it, I would be more than willing to send you and J? a slurry vile.
