Mmmmmmm . . . looks bocky and tasty. 2.5 or 3 gallon batch? I like the hops you chose . . . I'm a big Perle fan . . . maybe knock the CaraMunich down a little, but no change would be fine, too.

3.25 gals in glass, over shot my OG - 68 - oh well bock it is, dark one though
added some Melanoidin to it, 4 ozs. Total grain bill was 7.25 lbs, lost .25 gals to
kettle plus a spill and 6 ozs. to check og and taste.
So what would be my 'Efficiency' ? best guess?

Sounds like an awesome beer. Let that brew lager out and it should taste mighty fine. The Mittelfrueh would have gone great in there too. Keep us updated.

Saving th' Mittelfueh for that kolsch style coming up.1 or 2 ozs left on th' Mit. Try that Wyeast K?lsch II and the last of my Weyer Bo-Pils some Mit to finish (not to late though),a little Perle to bitter......I'll keep my fingers Xs. I'm gonna let this Bock lager 'bout 3 months, be just in time for huntin season time it's carbed and all.

Thanks again 'Mr C'

One of my next brews is going to be a 12 gallon batch of Kolsch-ish ale to test out that Kolsch II. I'm going to split it into 3 gallon carboys and use 4 different yeasts. Gonna use the new WL Cream Ale Blend, Wyeast Kolsch I, that Kolsch II and 1007 German Ale.

Don't know what I'll use for hops, but probably some of these new Argentine Cascades.

That WLP Cream ale is TART, lager for 3-4 weeks at least thats the only thing that seem to tame it if that makes any since. I couldn't figure out what to do with that one, please keep us (me) informed 'bout that one(yeast/grain bill/hops...................

I'll start up a thread once I settle on the recipe and get going. I plan on lagering them all in cornies at the same time once they finish fermenting. I'm not opposed to tart, so it'll be an interesting one to throw in there, odd from a cream ale yeast though.

Might have been my my bill. I used 25% wheat and hopped it real lite 1st pitch .The others(2) I used some dark malt( just 2 row and caraRed-and victory/ and a big sweet stout with a big bill there. I think It was the first brew that was tart now that I look at my notes.
Don't pay me no nevermind(little UI)
