My tripel had dropped from 1.070 to 1.014. I bottled 4.75 gal with 4 oz of cane sugar Sunday. At 70F how quickly could they finish? The beer was pretty clear then, and now I see a good layer on the bottom of the bottles. I've had bottles perfectly carbonated in 7 days before. Not planning to crack one anytime soon since it has been only three days, I'm just wondering how fast people have had their bottles carbonate.

I would give it three weeks at least. It probably won't be as fast as your session beers given the higher alcohol. Of course, there's nothing wrong with cracking one a little early.

I'm wondering if your yeast attenuated enough ? 1.014 seems slightly high..

According to the TB recipe calculator that is spot on for my my batch. So I bottled cause it had been almost 20 days in primary. It isn't that big of a beer... I thought it would be a few points lower too. Hope I don't get gushers!
