Hey this may be a stupid thread and the start of a PUI but how do ya'll open yer bottles? I've used various church keys, cork-screws w/cap attachments. Can openers and counter tops. Hell I'll use a plastic lighter. But my baby is a cabinet mounted cast aluminium bottle opener over my kitchen sink. Installed it myself... Anyway it cost next to nothing and should last for a lifetime. Cap drops into my palm and with a toss- the trash!
Merry Easter...

I use a bic lighter. It dont bend the caps out of shape, then I glue the caps on the volume& tone knobs on my '57 Strat. Looks cool and give me a better feel when I want to edge the
tone or volume a little.

+1 to the wall-mount. i believe every home brewery should have one. mine's in the kitchen and was the first thing i installed when i moved it. it's like planting a flag. "a brewer lives here!"

I've got a beer hammer too. Mostly for beer, but I have used the hammer too. Got it for a Father's Day gift. It's a good conversation starter or maybe that is the beer

Red, plastic-encased, electronic, talking Homer Simpson model. When you open a bottle he says,"Mmmmmm beer..." (Opening and pouring noise) "Oh yeah, woo-hoooo!"

I keep a magnetic bottle/can opener on the beer fridge door. I can practically toss it back to sticking (with a little practice and not too many beers). I always know where it is. Of course it's amazing how many of my friends set it down on a table or workbench forcing me to search for it. Someday I'll happen across a wall mounted one at a garage sale or something and upgrade.

I had one of those talking openers, but since I keg, I couldn't ever use. So, I added a photo cell across the opener contacts and put it in my beer fridge. Now, whenever I open the door and the light comes on, it says "Oh yeah, time for beer".

Hilarious, Brewboy.
The one used most often at home: a plain old metal Collinsware / Collins Bros bottle opener engraved w/ the name and Evanston, IL on it (made in Taiwan?!) that I recall picking up (w/ imported 6-pack, upon realizing we had no opener) at Davis Street Liquors in Evanston, IL on the way to do a radio show at WNUR - we usually had some sort of beer with us. I'm sure it helped with... ratings.

I have the keychain bottle opener as well. "Be prepared" is a good motto.
I like to keep a few of that type laying around the house too so there is always one in easy reach. I've also got a couple of the usual metal variety in the kitchen.

I have a bottle opener on each of my key chaines, just in case. I used to have a talking 3 stooges opener, but it's been AWOL for over a year. That was my favorite.

I use the one with red handles in the kitchen drawer for utensils. It's pretty cool because it will also open cans
of spaghetti sauce and also soup cans.

Find an old Bud can on the side of the road, I'm sure nobody has them layin' 'round th' house right, call the 1-800 number and tell them how much you really "love" there new Michelob recipe and they will send you a free bottle open. It's a pretty good one, the bottle opener.

Frank, the police are on their way to your house, right now. There's apparently no statue of limitations on bottle opener theft.
