Description Refreshing light American raspberry ale

Ingredients
  • 4# Pale Ale malt
  • 1/2# 20°L crystal malt
  • 1/4# wheat malt
  • 2# Muntons light DME
  • 60 min - 1 oz Crystal hops (4.7 aau)
  • 60 min - 1 oz Willamette (4.7aau)
  • 25 min - 1/2 oz Crystal
  • steep - 1/2 oz Crystal
  • 5# frozen raspberries -- make sure there's NOTHING but raspberries in the ingredients...
  • Wyeast #1056 1000 ml starter
Preparation
Mash grains @154°F for 1 hour, sparge, add DME & top up kettle as close to 5 gallons as you can, bring to a boil and start hop schedule after hot break. Thaw berries and add to secondary fermenter (I crammed them thru a funnel), then rack on top of berries.
