Ingredients
  • 10.0 lbs English Pale Malt
  • 0.50 lbs Crystal 40
  • 0.50 lbs Cara-Pils
  • 4.5 ozs. Amarillo Hops (8.3 aa%)
  • Wyeast 1028
Preparation
Mash grains @ 154 for 70 minutes raise to 168 - hold for 5 minutes and sparge. collect 6.5-7.0 gallons boil for 90 minutes add: 1.25 ozs. amarillo @ 90 1.00 ozs. amarillo @ 30 add irish moss @ 20 1.00 ozs. amarillo @ 10 1.25 ozs. amarillo @ dry hop

A big bold hop nose, citrusy and green. medium body and light copper color. somewhat bitter but balanced by malt.

Is it me or does the hop bill not add up to the reciepe?
Should it be more like 4.5 oz

yes...it should be 4.5 but I went so far and couldn't change the line without doing the whole recipe over
